The cover has been released for the DC showcase original Shorts Collection, due out November 9.

That corner cover copy says “Plus prolonged versions of 3 much more original DC Comics animated shorts”, but they’re sure trying to make this look like a new original movie, aren’t they? especially with that title treatment on the spine.

I did like this amazing banner they came up with for the marketing flyer, with a comic strip feel, although it ought to have been Captain marvel (aka Shazam!) instead of Superman in that first slot.

But that’s explained by noticing something about this “also available” promotion …

They’ve left out any title that doesn’t prominently show Superman or Batman. Warner home video seems to have really pared down their focus to the big two as known quantities with supportive fan bases.
